About the Project
**There is so much I want you to know about how this project started, WHY is started, and how I’m managing to pull it off. :) Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes process and creation videos, insight posts, personal interviews and more- to be released throughout the month of July, leading up to pre-orders. I have always called Terra Incognita “the book of my heart,” and this project- from conception to completion- is my heart itself in a final physical form. Ordering Details and More Fine Print….
PRE-ORDERING INFORMATION:
-Book boxes will ship Oct. 1st, 2024.
-Only 100 hand-bound, first editions of Terra Incognita are being released. Novel copies will be signed and personalized, as well as numbered. Numbers are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. (ie, the first person to order a Terra Incognita book box will have '1/100' marked in their book. The last will have '100/100'.)
-Each novel copy will have an identical front cover and a variated back cover. 10 different images will overlay 10 different quotes from the text, to create a total of 100 different back cover variations. End papers will be different for most novel copies as well.
-Book boxes will contain the following content:
1 signed, numbered and personalized hand-bound copy of Terra Incognita
1 signed and numbered 'Terra Incognita' print (chosen randomly out of a selection of at least 4 prints)
2 'Terra Incognita' character art postcards (chosen randomly out of a selection of 6 postcards)
1 'Terra Incognita' bookmark
1 hand-sewn 'Visible Ephemera' booklet containing additional materials including a reading list, playlist, maps, about the author information and more
1 signed thank you letter
-Contents will be shipped safely and securely in a decorated cardboard box, inside of a weather-resistant mailer
MORE FINE PRINT:
-Book boxes are non-returnable
-Books do not have to be personalized if they are intended to be a gift from you, but PLEASE do not resell book boxes or copies of Terra Incognita. This goes against everything that this project stands for.
-Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns!
-If you are ordering from outside the US, please message me first so that I can give you a fair shipping rate.
MATERIALS AND MORE:
-Novels are 1.5"x5.5"x8.75" and contain 544 pages
-Novels are professional printed (perfect bound) on light cream paper, before being stripped and hand-bound as a fabric-covered hardback novel.
-Novel materials: printed 'text block,' book cloth fabric in 'smoky blue' teal color, printed with dark blue ink, book board, end papers, archival glue, threaded headband, textured copper vinyl
-Booklets are completely handmade and hand-sewn using a chain stitch binding. They measure 4.5"x6.5" with rounded corners and 16 printed pages. Materials: Paper, waxed linen thread
-Postcards measure 4x6" with rounded corners and are printed on watercolor paper cardstock. Postcards contain address lines on the back.
-Bookmark measures 2x7" and is printed on watercolor paper cardstock with a black tassel.
-Print measures 5x7" or 6x9", depending on the print. Prints are hand carved linocuts and printed on mulberry paper with cranfield caligo ink.
